Our event at the EXPO 2025

As part of the EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, we at Selmo Technology GmbH organized an exclusive industry event in October, together with our local partner HTP Automation and in cooperation with ANDRITZ. The event took place in the Austria Lounge at the Austrian Pavilion on the EXPO grounds.

During the event, we spoke about our vision and technology, as well as our strategic partnerships with ANDRITZ and HTP Automation. Our goal was not only to expand our market presence in Japan, but also to strengthen our local network in a targeted and lasting way.

A strong signal for innovative technologies from Austria

More than 50 high-level representatives from the automotive, pharmaceutical, and food industries attended the event — including renowned Japanese companies such as HIRATA Corporation and AGC Inc.

The focus was on our solutions at Selmo as well as our partnership with ANDRITZ Automation: the open platform Metris and the simulation system IDEAS and HTP Automation.

For us, the event was a clear demonstration of Austria’s technological expertise. Participants engaged with experts and exchanged forward-thinking ideas on how digital transformation is reshaping industrial processes for the long term.

Expert talks, digital twin and VR stations

Participants experienced a diverse program: In addition to exciting keynote speeches such as from Kenji Yoshida (HTP Automation) and a panel discussion, there were live demonstrations of our Digital Twin solution, interactive VR stations, practical business cases and a Q&A session.

Looking ahead: Strengthening our presence in Japan

Our event marked a strong prelude to what lies ahead. In the coming months, we will continue to expand our business unit in Japan and deepen long-term collaborations with our local partners. More than just a stage, the EXPO proved to be a valuable platform for fostering new partnerships and initiating forward-looking projects.

Held from April to October 2025 under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, the global event brought together over 160 countries and organizations. Austria was represented with its own national pavilion.
